Christie Lynn Smith delivers a wonderful performance as Maggie, a mother who wakes up one day to find a star rating hovering above her head. To make matters worse, she only has two-and-half stars (which translates as “fair to middling,” according to Leonard Maltin), whereas her husband (played by her real-life husband, John) turns out to have five.
