Embarking on this journey through Brakhage’s absolutely mammoth filmography. Most of my viewings will come from Volumes 1 & 2 of the By Brakhage anthologies put out by Criterion.
Check notes for accompanying music if used. Most of the time I do watch these films with music, but occasionally I’ll watch them silent or with their original audio track for those few that were made with sound.
Will be adding entries as I go, check this list periodically for updates and I’d love for others to take this voyage with me, so by all means, use this as a loose viewing guide if you’re so inclined.
Also, feel free to leave recommendations in the comment section that are not included in the two Anthologies, as they contain only 56 of Brakhage’s over 300 works.
